I often hear viewers of my art make comments like, I could never do this, I'm so uncreative. So in the fall of 2011 I invited them to participate in making paintings. I offered visitors to my studio to inspire a work of art, to share a wish for the future. I subsequently interpreted these community dreams into abstract and expressionistic paintings.

Remembering the past, is the present, leading us to tomorrow.

When standing at the threshold of change, do you look back, jump over and rush through? When change is a challenge, a relief or perhaps an object of fear, its energy is almost palpable. These feelings to rush, hide, reflect and leap for joy or off an edge in despair are the inspiration for Leap. The abstract forms are metaphorical portals, windows, thresholds and bursts of energy...seeking, hiding and playing.
